Things to see and do Bocholt

With a floor area of 4,000 m² (43,000 sq. ft.), the Bocholt brewery museum is the biggest in Europe. It opened in 1979 and is run by the Brouwerij Martens. (See the A-Z of breweries in this guide.)This important museum traces the history of the brewing industry from 1758 to the modern era. Visitors move from a traditional malthouse to the brewing room, passing original period fermenting vats and more recent fermentation tanks. The 100 exhibits come from Germany, the UK and Belgium.
