Lake near Spa, in one of the most beautiful green areas in the Ardennes of Sparta, ideal for fishing, walking and pedal boating
This 6.5-hectare lake is located 2 km from Spa, in one of the most beautiful green settings in the Ardennes. In 1890, the town decided to build a dam following a major flood, which formed the artificial lake of Warfaaz. Construction lasted four years. Today, the lake is open to fishing, walking and pedal boating. Swimming, however, is prohibited. The perimeter is asphalted, making it ideal for family outings and sunny lunches in the nearby restaurants. There are also playgrounds for children.

Un endroit hors du temps (surtout en automne quand le gros des touristes est parti), avec une superbe ballade à la clé, quelques endroits de restauration et un beau point de départ pour des randonnées (je recommande celle qui remonte le long du ruisseau vers l'aérodrome de Spa Malchamps)

Si vous cherchez une agréable promenade à faire avec poussettes ou petits vélos d’enfants dans un endroit sans danger, le tour du lac de Warfaaz est l’endroit rêvé. Le cadre est reposant, plusieurs bancs sur le parcours et de nombreux pêcheurs pendant la saison de la pêche. Il est possible de louer des pédalos mais on ne peut pas nager dans le lac. Pour manger près du lac, 3 restaurants : le « Jardin des Elfes » (belle plaine de jeux), « Le Bouchon Gourmand » et « Le Petit Baigneur ». A découvrir.

It is always pleasant to tour Lake Warfaaz. Easy and peaceful walk. For more pleasure, then the thermes de Spa by walk through the woods. A good hour walk by discovering nature and beautiful views of the city.

Beautiful place just a few minutes from the centre of spa. a beautiful walk around the lake and if you are hungry, the inn of the Lake which is right in front of you prepares delicious dishes even a corner to organize group Fondue and a choice of wine in the world. really very nice!
