Present in France since its creation 1989, Leader Price has not varied in philosophy: that of Quetigny is fully in the target: discounter at best price, from 25 to 30% cheaper than their discountés equivalents. They get their margin on the minimum presentation economies: the price to be paid is a non-pub-free, well-labelled, and packed-packed rayons. The wide aisles to circulate but not to frills, but fresh fruit and vegetables to regular arrivals ensuring freshness. If you look at it more closely, you can see that the only real savings are the purchase of first prize products, because as soon as you switch to the brands the prices are no longer so advantageous… For a knowledgeable and economical housewife, a more detailed study can be done. For the rest, of course no discounts since the prices are already discountés! In their niche, the offer is most often consistent and one can see a varied clientele traversing wide aisles. And the opening of Sunday morning offers them an additional clientele: they have all understood business!
