CHÂTEAU DE SENEFFE ESTATE
Château de Seneffe, located in Seneffe, Belgium, is a magnificent castle built in the 18th century. Today, it houses the French Community Goldsmiths' Museum. Designed in a neo-classical architectural style by architect Laurent-Benoît Dewez, construction began in 1763 and was completed in 1768. The château is owned by the French Community of Belgium. The museum presents an exceptional collection of silverware and decorative arts, in an enchanting setting. The Seneffe estate also includes a theater, an orangery, an aviary and a 22-hectare English park with a formal garden. Visitors can discover the permanent exhibition "Everyday life in the 18th century", which retraces the lives of the château's occupants thanks to an almanac kept by the château's bailiff.
