An abbey founded in the century under Cistercian rule, the beautiful church with its lavish rococo decoration is well worth a visit.
Founded in the 12thcentury under the austere Cistercian rule, the abbey was destroyed by fire in the mid-18thcentury , at the height of the Rococo fever. Today, the church is a perfect example of rich Rococo decoration, one of the most beautiful in Austria, with a particularly rich, typically Baroque interior. If you don't wish to visit the abbey, you can enter the church and discover all this splendor.
