A traditional home cooking with an excellent quality-price ratio in a typical restaurant with walls classified as Monument de France.

A typical restaurant that we love, with its listed mural. When it comes to cuisine, you won't be disappointed. Christophe Dumay is busy in the kitchen, offering tuna tataki with sesame seeds, piquillo and red onion, Frères Plançon farm eggs in a Crémant de Bourgogne meurette with baby onions and bacon, and chocolate Île flottante with caramelized pistachios. Michel Philippon is in charge of the wines. The daily menu is full of fine references to our regions. Excellent value for money. Conviviality and a lovely terrace.

Vignobles et Découvertes. Open all year round. Tuesday to Saturday lunchtime; Friday and Saturday evenings. Exceptional opening on the first Sunday of each month, for lunch. Open on Thursday evening only with prior reservation. Menus from 33 € to 41 €. A la carte menu: about 40 €. Children's menu : 11 € (under 10 years old). Lunch formula : 16 € (two courses or 20 € for the complete formula). Vacation vouchers, Restaurant vouchers. Groups welcome. Terrace. Take away sale.

Owner's Message

The oldest café in Burgundy was founded around 1830. At that time, it was called 'Le relais du soldat de Napoléon' (Napoleon's soldier's relay), over time it became 'Le café du rocher' (The Rock Café) and today 'La Table du Rocher' (The Rock Table). The place is surprising for its original setting and wall paintings, created by a tavern keeper in homage to his Emperor.
We welcome you in this place full of history to share a convivial and greedy moment around a traditional cooking, that is between friends, colleagues, business meals or family. Dishes to take away. On sunny days, you can enjoy a very nice and discreet terrace.

Un lieu à la décoration à nulle autre pareille. La cuisine est bonne et l'accueil très sympathique. Pour ceux que l'histoire intéresse un excellent prétexte pour se plonger dans les méandres de la révolution et de l'empire.

Nous allons à la Table du Rocher au moins une fois par an depuis 10 ans. C'est toujours un sans faute ! L'accueil est toujours top, la créativité est toujours au RDV. C'est goûteux mais sans chichi inutiles, les vins au verre vont toujours bien avec les plats proposés. Je ne comprends pas pourquoi je n'avais toujours pas écrit d'avis, vous le méritez amplement ! :)
Et merci pour la proposition du seul vin liquoreux de Bourgogne, un vrai petit plaisir :)
(mes photos datent d'Avril 2022 mais on y est retourné pour fêter un heureux évènement en juin 2023)
