AGROTOURISM WITH AROMAORE

Hassani is a charming man, he has been taking care of the domain inherited from his family for more than fifteen years. He develops a range of natural cosmetic products available on the spot or through the online store (essential oils, wild turmeric powder, vanilla massage oil...), and a nurseryman activity. It is in his farm (the meeting point is in front of the town hall of Ouangani) that he invites you to spend a unique moment in immersion on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays. Hassani and his family have been fighting for seven generations to keep the ylang tradition alive. Ylang-Ylang days", "family" formulas and several workshops are on the program, the visit is fun and seduces all ages. Beauty mask with a hostess, traditional songs, breakfast with fruits and cakes. For the didactic side, learning how to weave coconut leaves to make baskets called "KANGA", learning how to fertilize vanilla flowers, planting cuttings and distillation interspersed with presentations, or hiking on the peaks. All this ends with a great local buffet with mataba (cassava, coconuts, onions, garlic cloves, and possibly chillies and fried fish). Wellness lovers will enjoy the TOP scrub, made with henna and shredded coconut, a treat usually reserved for the bride and groom during the week before the big day. For the sporty ones, two hikes are now proposed on Saturdays: the TOP Bénara (6h, good walkers) or the TOP Rando on the Ouangani ridge (4h, good walkers). All activities are open to children and can be booked on the website (payment, choice of date, number of people). Among Hassani's projects for 2022: relaunching the storytelling evenings, creating a free tour in the garden, building a store and offering workshops on spices, but also developing activities around the traditional dance of Mayotte and the construction of bangas in natural materials for a complete immersion in the culture. Hassani is one of the 15 project leaders selected by the Agency of Attractiveness and Tourism Development of Mayotte to receive specific training on immersive stays.
