Museum that exhibits a wide variety of pieces, including many engines, some of which are still in working order

When you visit Garður lighthouse, you can visit this small folk and maritime museum which evokes life on the peninsula, both on land and at sea. There are many different exhibits, including many engines (over 60), some of which are still in working order! You can also understand how the town developed around fishing. At the lighthouse, you can also find temporary exhibitions. There is also a campsite and a restaurant on site, keep an eye out from the terrace, you can sometimes see dolphins out at sea.
