KIHOLO BAY

This small secret cove is visible from the highway because its turquoise waters contrast with the deep blue ocean. A small unofficial parking lot allows you to park between the markers 80 and 81. From there a path winds between the lava flows to reach the sea shore. Follow the white pebbles to find your way on the black lava. The lava flows have created this idyllic landscape whose shallow waters mix sea water and fresh water to create this unique shade of blue on the entire coast. Protected from the waves, swimming is easy.
