COL-ROGERS DISCOVERY CENTRE

Rogers Pass is Canada's best known avalanche area. The pass was once the only route considered for crossing the Selkirk Mountains, for the construction of the transcontinental railway in 1885 and for the Trans-Canada Highway in 1962. The centre houses a theatre as well as exhibits on avalanches, wildlife and the history of the area. Explore magazine named it the best museum in Canada's national parks.
