Fifteen kilometers from Mělník, the castle points its round tower above the forest. This medieval fort is said to have been founded by the knight Okoř of Dubá. Its existence is attested by a text from 1427, but the construction predates this date. Today it dominates the nature reserve that bears its name. It is a real little castle of children's tales with its crenellated walls surrounding a small courtyard where the chapel, the palace and a very photogenic pointed tower are squeezed.
