It was founded by King Wenceslas IV, who wanted to replace the Château Castle which became unsafe according to its criteria. The king resides frequently in the late th century, but will never see the building completed. In the th century a few Renaissance elements were added to the original decor. From the th century, it is unfortunately a little neglected and only the main room continues to be regularly maintained. In 1733, it was converted into a chapel dedicated to Saint Barthélemy, and the inhabitants of the surrounding villages quickly make it an important pilgrimage place.
