The historic site of Palo Alto is a reminder of the first major battle in the three-year U.S.-Mexican War, which lasted from 1846 to 1848. History records that the American troops won the battle despite being outnumbered. This park is a good opportunity for an educational and fun outing for children, with lots of greenery and local nature. The history is very well explained, in detail.
