The Sóstó Múzeumfalu, around 5-6 km from the center of Nyíregyháza, is the largest open-air ethnographic museum in eastern Hungary. It reproduces a living reconstruction of a 19thᵉ century village with almost 100 historic buildings: peasant houses, church, school, craftsmen's workshops (blacksmith, hairdresser, baker...). Old-time craft workshops, traditional entertainment and a village from the Árpád era provide an insight into ancient ways of life.
