Carefully restored, these fortified towers on several levels, pierced with loopholes and crenellated at their tops, were used in the nineteenth century by Sheikh Mohammed Bin Jassim Al Thani to monitor the arrival of possible attackers. T-shaped, they protected its occupants and allowed them to watch for the Ottoman enemy in search of water and dates. For the pearl fishermen, the two original towers served as coastal markers. You can access the fenced area and from there you can take nice pictures of this historical monument.
