Once you have passed Guet-Ndar, the landscape becomes less dense, the perspective becomes clearer, and here is the other facet of Saint-Louis, that of the long beach, magnificent at the beginning and end of the day, or at low tide in a 4x4 or on a motorbike, when you get close to the end of this so special peninsula by going so close to the sea. It is the Saint-Louis de l'Hydrobase, where no plane has landed, and windy shelters, a haven of tranquillity in front of the breakers. Hotels and small campsites follow one another along the beach.
