Wine estates Herrlisheim-Près-Colmar

Since 1977, the Hertzog family has been managing its 7.5 hectare estate using sustainable viticulture methods, particularly in the area known as Bildstoecklé (future^1er Cru). The range of Hertzog wines covers all the specificities of Alsace, in various ranges. Some of the wines are matured in the Cave des Hospices de Strasbourg. The estate also offers Alsace crémants (brut, white, rosé) as well as Vendanges Tardives and Sélection de Grains Nobles. The estate is nestled in the heart of the Alsace vineyards, between the communes of Herrlisheim-près-Colmar and Obermorschwihr. Visitors are warmly welcomed and can taste the different ranges of wines on offer. The establishment also offers a delivery service for those wishing to buy bottles to take away.

HVE-certified, this family estate spreads harmoniously over the surrounding hills: on the Elsbourg (riesling, pinot noir) and Kastelweg (pinot gris) lieux-dits, but also on the terroirs of the Grands Crus Hatschbourg (gewurtztraminer and riesling) as well as Sporen (pinot gris) and Schoenenbourg (riesling) located on the Riquewihr banner. Philippe Steiner makes wines that lack neither character nor finesse, such as his Pinot Gris Kastelweg 2019, which won a gold medal at the ^50th Grand Concours des Vins d'Alsace in Colmar.
