National Historic Site with a museum that focuses on the attack on Mansfield-Pleasant Hill in 1864
Made a National Historic Landmark in 1973, this former battlefield is home to a Civil War museum that primarily chronicles the attack on Mansfield-Pleasant Hill in 1864. In addition to exhibits, the site also features battle reenactments, interpretive programs, and special events (candlelight battlefield tour, musket firing demonstration, etc.). Also on site: just over a mile of walking trails.
