The first edition of this Cajun festival in Shreveport dates back to 1984 and was then a big party taking place in the street, during a weekend. Today, it is one of the most famous events in the Deep South of America, celebrating music (zydeco, Cajun, blues, jazz...) and southern cuisine. A large-scale festival that never ceases to attract new fans. You can participate in the biggest crayfish eating contest (the ladies also have their own contest), provided you know how to shuck them.
