CONSERVATOIRE D'ESPACES NATURELS DE BOURGOGNE
Founded in 1986, the Conservatoire d'Espaces Naturels de Bourgogne manages the 173 sites scattered over 123 communes representing approximately 5,2203 ha of overall surface area. Its missions consist in knowing the natural environments as well as the species of each sector of Burgundy, to protect the flora and fauna, and managing all this biodiversity by promoting and communicating for its preservation. Through various events, the conservatory intends to raise awareness among inhabitants and tourists by being very active with nature meetings and animations organized throughout the year. Naturalists and scientists are mobilized to transmit their knowledge to kids and adults alike. The bi-annual review Le sabot de Vénus summarizes and presents all the actions carried out or to come by the conservatory and allows you to keep informed if you wish to go on an adventure. The Guide des espèces protégés (Protected Species Guide) will help you in your quest for protected species. The agenda can also be consulted on the website www.cen-bourgogne.fr.
