In addition to its excellent film festival, Gramado is known for its Christmas lights and decorations. The city is transformed into a large theme park with giant decorated trees and Santa Claus village. It is true that this does not really correspond to winter, as we understand it in Europe, with its snow-covered summits because if it is cold in Gramado in winter, December in Brazil corresponds to summer. The houses of European style, even Germanic, contrast with the "tropicality" of the country. The atmosphere is pleasant and festive.
