An incredibly relaxing spa with a pool overlooking the Salar - sublime! Two upper lounges allow you to take in the view of the white expanse surrounding this unique hotel. The Tika Palacio restaurant, open for dinner, serves fine gourmet cuisine. A real favorite!

Owner's Message
The creation of the hotel in Bolivia's Salar de Uyuni dates back to 1998, through the delirious initiative of a gentleman by the name of Juan Quesada Valda, a pioneer of salt hotels worldwide. Juan's innovative and creative idea to build a 100% salt hotel (walls, ceilings, tables, chairs and more) was materialized in what he called the Palacio de Sal.
With its unique, suigeneris architecture, his aim was to provide visitors with a place to find balance with nature and enjoy a pleasant, unforgettable break.
In 2004, the hotel was moved to the salt banks with the sole intention of offering a service in line with customer demands.
Since then, the exotic, the modern and the indigenous have combined to create, over 4,500 square meters, the world's first salt hotel, in a tourist attraction worthy of the name.
