May-Line, a dynamic young woman and heiress of a family of winegrowers from a Vosne-Romanée estate, was in charge of the Caveau de la Chouette before the place was taken over in April 2019 by Brian Verpeaux. While keeping the identity of the establishment, its new owner, who has made his mark in London and Paris, has adapted the concept to a wine and cocktail bar, refocusing its menu on 100% Burgundy wines. A la carte: Gevrey Chambertin, Pommard, Saint-Véran, Hautes Côtes de Nuits, or Saint-Romain, from 6 to 24 euros per glass or from 26 to 300 euros per bottle. The house proposes you to accompany your tasting with gougères, bruschettas, a board of cheeses and charcuteries or even snails from Burgundy. The novelty lies in the mixology, where you can savour delicious cocktails. As proof, the winery came third in the Burgundy mixology competition in January 2020. The atmosphere is festive and sometimes even supportive, during the broadcasting of football matches. Some may also privatize the place for tailor-made evenings.

In the Antiques Quarter, the Brighton is the oldest pub in Dijon and the most authentic with its decoration so typical of the pubs across the Channel! The good atmosphere is always there. We like to meet in its hushed atmosphere or completely overheated, especially during sports evenings. As far as drinks are concerned, you will have the choice between traditional and regional beers, beers from all over the world, wines, champagnes, rare whiskies and even some cognacs. This is the rock bar in Dijon! A unique place in Dijon, secluded and fantastic in the first sense of the word. You enter a medieval tavern with the simply impressive and imaginative decoration that propelling you in the lobby of another world: swords, skulls, medieval coats of arms… The inspiration fluctuates between a fantastic medieval spirit and a very dark trend underlined by goth sounds, heavy, metal, electro, death… Likely you will be dragged into role games or Soirées soirées evenings… Enjoy a map of atypical drinks such as mead or hypocras (home made!). The Bière, the Donjon beer or the milk of Brebiphant are served in the beer side. And if you have a little creux, you'll find all sorts of gueules here. For an aperitif, choose a cheese and cheese board or a genuine sausage from Auvergne. Moreover, you will have the choice of terrine (from the liver of grapes to grapes, wild boar, duck ducks), the still-based dishes of the hunter's meat (pork, chicken, beef, deer civet, chicken gizzards), omelettes, large salads, sprinkled toast, and rather classic desserts. In the evening, the tavern is transformed into a metal, rock and Gothic pub. Rest assured, don't have to have the blafard face, long hair and black clothes from head to foot to be welcomed by the boss. Another advantage of this bar for which we have a real heart: its excellent value for money. Pre-listening evenings of albums, conferences, exhibitions, dedications… are often organized. Finally, among the theme evenings that are very successful, the jack and roll or the steam punk, two costumed events not to miss!

Since 1985, the Jamaica Rum Store has been frequented by all age groups. The Jam, as the people of Dijon like to call it, is managed by Gilles Jarant who guarantees a festive and warm atmosphere. Here, people meet in a secure environment to share a musical moment. At the bar with a glass of wine or a cocktail, in the nightclub in the cellar, or on the occasion of a concert, this club with its chic and baroque decoration offers three atmospheres to meet all the dynamics. Gone is the Black Cat, the nightclub managed by Christophe and Vanessa Le Mesnil. After a major transformation and refurbishment, the owners have reopened a festive bar with a new name and decoration. Welcome to the Melkior (as an evidence with its neighbor the Bal'tazar!) which welcomes you from 6:30 pm to 2 am to take a glass (or several!) accompanied by tapas or a board (or several!) of cooked pork meats and to benefit from musical live the Fridays and Saturdays. For this, the space has been completely renovated and now presents a bright and green space where you feel good. It also has a covered terrace that allows you to chat more quietly while sipping your drink. The place can even be totally or partially privatized for private or professional events. No doubt about it, the Melkior is the place where you will have a great time!

In this former flour mill, the beers are home-brewed, a concept of micro brewery created by brothers Pierre-Elie and Quentin, master brewer for ten years. Located in front of the Cité de la Gastronomie and at the end of the rue Monge, discover this large space with the bar on the side, the visible tanks - 6 fermenters that allow to produce 5 different beers - and large tables to have a drink with friends in a vegetalized decor, with an industrial style, which reminds the Alsatian and German breweries. In addition to the 5 permanent beers on the menu, strong alcohols, wines, syrups, fruit juices and boards are offered. A singular place whose name refers to the film in which Jean Gabin and Jean-Paul Belmondo become friends over several glasses...
