Built in 1928 and completed in 1929, this Art Deco building was designed by architect Wirt C. Rowland. Today it is the seat of the Wayne County Administration. You must absolutely enter your lobby to see the superb design inspired by the Mayan revival and its colourful Pewabic tile ceiling, not to mention the Banking Hall, whose beauty is breathtaking. Several interior and exterior ornamentations are also inspired by the American Indians and two sculptures by the artist Corrado Parducci decorate the entrance of Griswold Street.
