Travel Guide Prokletije Massif

The Prokletije   massif: with a total length of 70   km, this massif extends along the border between Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. Its main peaks are Mount Deravica (2   656   m), located in Kosovo, Zla kolata (2   528   m) and Mount Maja Jezerces (2   694 m m), located in Albania. Even rarely frequented by hikers, this massif presents summits with very steep walls.Prokletije National Park. The youngest of the national parks (2010), nicknamed "The Southern European Alps", is located at the eastern end of the Dinariques Alps. Covering a cross-border protected zone between Montenegro and Albania, its part in Montenegro covers 14 000 hectares. Wild and difficult to reach, the Massif massif is still poorly known and the paths are poorly marked. Small cities like Plav and Gusinje will be used to start exploring Prokletije.
