Gorongosa Vila can be a stop on the road if you want to reach the park by chapa. A small village crossroads where it is good to stroll, far from the beaten path by the 4 x 4 game drives. A pousada is an option to rest before taking the first safari vehicle at dawn towards Gorongosa National Park. Don't expect much comfort though. Also, if you want to walk around between two days of safari, there are some amazing waterfalls, going in the direction of Caia. This is a place to discover, offering a splendid, authentic and refreshing walk.
