This small, ruined Ottoman castle (Kalaja e Ishmit) offers magnificent views of the Bay of Lalzi to the west and the Ishëm valley and Mount Kruja to the east. It stands on a hilltop 5 km northeast of Kantina Duka. It was built in 1574 to quell peasant revolts. Renovated in 2024, it adjoins the tomb of the great painter Ibrahim Kodra (1918-2006), who made his career in Italy. Down below (4.5 km to the south-east), you can treat yourself to a thrill by walking or driving over the old suspension bridge in the village of Sukth.
