In French, the name of the mission Nuestra Señora de Loreto is translated as Our Lady of Loreto. Not much remains to be seen of this reduction built in 1632 and abandoned in 1767 when the Jesuits were expelled. Anecdotally, the first press in the country was installed in the mission at the beginning of the 18th century. Many books were published there, some of them in the Guaraní language. In fact, it was the capital of the Jesuit Missions of the region, called Guayrá. Jean Vaisseau, who introduced music to the missions, is buried there. This reduction disappears completely in 1817.
