Created in 1967, this reserve is home to a year-round colony of sea lions, down below, at the foot of the cliff from which you will have a beautiful view of Puerto Madryn and the gulf. On the way, you will pass at the foot of the Monumento al Indio Tehuelche, carved in homage to the natives of the region. Most of the agencies that organize tours in the Valdes Peninsula also offer the Punta Loma Reserve excursion, with the information of a guide you will learn more about these sea creatures. If you have your own vehicle, enjoy a nice stop on the road leading to the Cerro Avanzado beach, one of the most beautiful in the area (3 km away).
