Located on the Yukon River, 45 minutes flight north of Fairbanks, this village is worth a visit. It was created in 1910 by a Japanese explorer, F. Yasuda. Currently, tours with flight included are organized by local agencies Alaska Wildlife Guide and Northern Alaska Tour from Fairbanks. Native people will tell you the history of the village, explain the traditional methods of fishing, hunting and trapping... A true immersion in the Great North. Be careful: if there is no wind, mosquitoes are extremely voracious. You can eventually stay on site.
