SLEEPING GIANT PROVINCIAL PARK

The southern tip of this mythical peninsula near Thunder Bay looks like a giant lying on his back. Take a long hike into the boreal forest backcountry or hike rugged trails to the top of the giant to enjoy spectacular views of Lake Superior (see the famous Sea Lion Arch). Try to spot moose, lynx, wolves and over 200 species of birds in the park's vast forests and lowlands.
