MAROTI SHOBO

This gallery is a community space that allows women from all the surrounding Shipibo communities to exhibit and sell their handicrafts. There are many things such as bags, clothes, fabrics and ceramics. The paintings are vegetable and the hand embroideries respect the Amazonian culture: beautiful pieces to negotiate directly with those who created them. It is a pleasure to go through this small market, especially if you have not been able to visit the communities themselves, or for a nice last minute gift.
