This village, located about 30 km southeast of Karchi, was the site of Kasba, a Sogdian city whose name comes from Kassob, "the good craftsmen". Its inhabitants were indeed reputed to be very good potters and made the best bricks. The site was mostly visited in the last decades by archaeologists, and if you decide to stop there, you will have to find accommodation with local people, because the village has no tourist infrastructure. Ideal for those who appreciate immersive stops far from everything and like to walk in remote places, Kasib reserves some beautiful landscapes.
