The largest archaeological site in French Polynesia has more than a thousand pae pae, a large tohua and several meae, occupying the entire valley. The visit allows us to imagine the Marquesan life of the past, in what could be the Polynesian "Machu Picchu". A tiki of a good meter high, not very expressive and stocky, is visible on the right side of the site. A very impressive excursion, which is best done with a guide to benefit from historical and cultural explanations.

Un joli site
Le site est bien entretenu et joliment fleuri. On y accède en voiture facilement. Pour trouver le Tiki, il faut prendre un petit sentier à droite des 2 grands bagniants face à vous. Et on le trouve facilement.
