Richmond National Battlefield Park is not a battlefield in the country. Richmond was the capital of Confederate, a number of scattered battles around the city, a real target for unionists, and some notable buildings played a key role in the southern camp. These are the different sites that are gathered in this national park.

We offer you a visit to the Visitor Center of Tredegar, located on the banks of the James River in downtown Richmond. This museum space, installed in a former metallurgical plant, a key industrial complex during the war, proposes a thorough vision of the conflict. The Visitor Center will give you the information you need to make your own resources at the various sites that make up the national park, sometimes located just a few kilometres from the city, such as the battlefields of Glendale-Malvern Hill, Fort Harrison or Cold Harbor. In Richmond, we will not fail to visit the Chimborazo Medical Museum, the largest military hospital created by the Confederate, where the countless injured soldiers repatriated from the front.
