HOLLYWOOD CEMETERY

In 1847, this cemetery established on the shores of James River the bodies of more than 18 000 confederate soldiers and several presidents. These are Jefferson Davis (1808-1889), who was President of the Confederate States, as well as James Monroe (1758-1831) and John Tyler (1790-1862), who were 5 ^th and 10 ^th Presidents of the United States, respectively.
