The sandy beach of Kavouri is a free beach, well protected from the wind, and where the translucent water temperature allows swimming during a good part of the year. Located about 20 kilometres south of the capital, it is one of the best options for travellers who want to take a dip without having to pay a dozen euros to access an organised beach. You can lay your towel on the sand and relax all day long. Easy to reach by bus or car. Umbrellas available for a fee. Coffee bar. Tavern.
