Hidden in the forest, on the edge of the Siverski Donetsk river, this small town and the beautiful landscape surrounding it have long been the favourite place of relaxation for the locals. This is why the pensions and buildings of Soviet times abound here, concentrated mainly on the left bank of the village. On the other side of the river is the true treasure of Sviatohirsk. Clinging to white rocks, on the steep side of the hill, and immersed in the middle of oaks and maples, lies the monastery of Sviatohirsk which dominates the village and the surrounding plains.
