MONASTERY OF THE TRANSFIGURATION (ПРЕОБРАЖЕНСЬКИЙ-МОНАСТИР МОНАСТИР)

Founded in 1033, this magnificent monastery, which was one of the first of rus Rus, was destroyed by Mongolian invasions in 1239 and rebuilt in the th and th centuries.
