Guided kayak tours are available on lakes around Talkeetna to enjoy the area, especially on Byers Lake. Kayaks are also available for rent. A good compromise for a fantastic active day on calm waters. The agency also offers guided hikes combining kayaking and walking in Denali National Park, which has very few marked trails. This is reassuring in case of a bear encounter.
