The village of Linzolo, located 20 km south of Brazzaville on the Cataractes plateau, was chosen to found a Catholic mission in 1884. Along with Loango, it is one of the oldest in the country. There are still some colonial remains and an old church, renovated after a fire during the civil war. A little further on, you can also take a stroll through the fields to reach the river rapids, from where the panoramic view over Congo-Kinshasa is very appreciable. Otherwise, the village itself is very pleasant if you plan to spend the weekend there. From Brazzaville, you can take a cab for around 3,000 FCFA.
