The museum houses more than 500 pieces by Théodore Deck, as well as a fine collection of minerals, and is well worth a visit in Guebwiller.

An innovative artist, Théodore Deck transformed the art of 19th century ceramics by dedicating his life to perfecting the art of earthenware. Obsessed with colour, he is the discoverer of the inimitable Deck blue, a brilliant and very special turquoise blue. The museum houses more than 500 pieces of this child of Guebwiller and to complete the collection, the museum houses one of the most beautiful collections of minerals in the region. Pieces of art from the principality of Murbach, development of local crafts and industry, the museum retraces the history of Guebwiller on 5 floors.

the museum is very large, in keeping with the modesty of Guebwiller. on the other hand except for the pottery, which is really beautiful and has original rooms the rest is not entirely fascinating.
