A little corner of paradise! This is the Hotel Ravesi, with its flowery alleys and windy architecture. It has fifteen rooms (one of which is in the old wine press), with wooden furniture and ceramic lamps made by a local artist. All have balconies, private or shared terraces with views. The pool, which merges into the sea on the horizon, offers a breathtaking view of Stromboli. The charming Mrs. Ravesi offers an aperitif in the evening. A real treat! The lounge bar is ideal for sipping a cocktail in Malfa.

This well presented hotel has a lot going for it with clean and quiet rooms beside a resort style infinity pool that is surrounded by a manicured garden that looks out over the sea. Despite the island being on the expensive side in general and prone to the effects of ferry cancellations during bad weather (which are the standard pitfalls you face when visiting an place like Salina), we found the staff here at this hotel to be extra helpful and pleasant in making sure our every need was attended to, with plenty of options provided to us for things to see and do during our stay. Overall a very enjoyable place to get away and forget what day of the week it is.
