The Railway Company of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina (Željeznice Republike Srpske/Жељезнице Републике Српске) currently operates only one passenger line from Doboj in the northeast of the country with 4 trains/day. This line passes through Banja Luka and Prijedor. Its terminus is Novi Grad in the northwest. Since 2019, the ŽRS/ЖРС network is no longer connected to Sarajevo. Due to severe financial problems, connections to Belgrade (Serbia) and Zagreb (Croatia) have also been discontinued.
