The village of Garabaglar is probably the most interesting in the region. A former major shopping town, a crossing point for the caravans linking Yerevan to Nakhchivan, Garabaglar had time of its splendour in the 70 th century, up to mosques and almost as many minarets. Nowadays, few old buildings have stayed in this peaceful village. We can admire, however, just outside the village, a large mausoleum with two minarets and a tower shaped. This complex, dating back to the th century and recently renovated, houses the remains of Jehan Kudi Shefali.
