The charming village of Chuong specializes in the manufacture of no, the iconic Vietnamese conical hat. Hats are made from sun-dried latan leaves, bleached with sulphur and then smoothed with hot iron. The leaves are then assembled on a bamboo hoop and sewn with nylon threads (formerly wicker).
