TOUR OF THE WITHERS

Another defensive tower of limestone and lime built in 1763, 65 metres above sea level. The entrance door is on the first floor. It can be reached by means of the stairs attached to the lower walls of the tower. The second floor forms a platform topped by a stone watchtower. A beautiful view! The tower was once equipped with artillery and would have housed one of the cannons that are now on the roof of the church of Sant Francesc. Disarmed at the beginning of the 19th century, it became a simple watchtower.
