About an hour's pirogue ride from the lodge, this peaceful site lies just below the rapids: the piroguier will dexterously guide you across the jump, depositing you at the foot of the rapids, offering a magnificent view. This is the perfect place to try your hand at fishing, observe the local wildlife, cool off in the pure, natural water or simply relax in your hammock and enjoy the peace and quiet. The Mabuka rapids are definitely worth a day trip, as much for the magnificent journey as for the destination.
