PLANTATION LAARWIJK

There's plenty to see and do in the area. At the very end of the central square, boats await you on the Domburg jetty to take you across the Suriname River to Laarwijk, a former lemon plantation on the right bank, where time seems to have stood still. You can walk or cycle around the area, or simply relax by the river. The plantation is still in use, and you can learn all about farming, fishing and tropical fruits and vegetables.
