Farm offering a major equestrian show featuring some thirty draught horses.

Housed in superb buildings typical of the Normandy bocage, La Michaudière farm is rehabilitating the draught horse with a major equestrian show entitled "De la Terre à la Scène" ("From Land to Stage"). The herd of thirty or so horses, made up of Norman and Breton Cobs, Percherons, and Shires, cohabits with donkeys and Shetland ponies to offer dressage sessions, a carriage race, and a salute to the public. An equestrian show is held in summer, but La Michaudière also lights up in December with a winter fairy tale.

L'accueil est très chaleureux. On se sent comme à la maison. Le repas est copieux et délicieux. Les chevaux sont bien entretenus. Les cavaliers sont souriants et on sent qu'ils aiment leur job. Bref, nous avons passé une superbe journée inoubliable. Je n'aurai qu'un petit conseil: vu les moyens technologiques actuels, vous pourriez refaire la bande son ou un montage pour améliorer la qualité du son pour le film de présentation de la fabrication de la roue.

We make a day in family passed to La Michaudière...it was unforgettable. In a few words: very warm welcome, a lunch at the restaurant you will not find any much (food and service), a surprising, horses beautiful... and a show who arrive as an icing on the cake! You can only recommend it!

Stop you motorbike on Sunday, June 12, 2010. We liked: cuisine, the setting, the friendly waitresses... We hated: the verbal an assault a member of staff, on a misunderstanding, is a priori quickly court arguments and becomes easily coarse if you takes ONLY lunch menu (21 people!) Very disappointing and offbeat enough compared to the general atmosphere.
